NetBSD for Dummies

Unlike FreeBSD or OpenBSD, it is difficult to find information on NetBSD (other than on the NetBSD website).

So here's my contribution.

  1. Automatically Starting X-Windows

  2. Using wscons in Programs

For some strange reason, I could not get an answer on how to use wscons and its related components on the various mailing lists. After some experimentation, I found out the following:

wscons components return information in 16-byte chunks. You cannot read out information one byte at a time, like for Linux.
