After selling off my Ford Escort GL after only 6 months of ownership, I felt that I had to have yet another vehicle to "play" with.
Here are the cars I've looked at:
1971 VW Super Beetle : Too many things to fix. I sold my Escort to buy this, but changed my mind.
1987 Ford Ranger 4x4 XLT : Cracked head, needed to be towed. Wife said : not another truck
1983 Ford Mustang 5.0 convertible : Chicago car. Rust bucket.
1982 Pontiac Trans Am : Clean underside. Needed license & registration.
1972 Pontiac Firebird Formula : Not original hood. This IS a 30-year old car....
1981 Pontiac Trans Am : 301 Turbo engine. Trashed interior. Needed license & registration.
1991 Camaro RS : Junkyard restoration job....
???? Camaro on the side of the road : 2.8L V6 yuck!
1976 Malibu : 4-doors, lots of new parts, cold A/C, 350 engine!
1978 Camaro : repainted. Okay interior, needed turn signal switch
1979 Trans Am : Engine is wonderful. With headers too. Body needs work!
1984 Trans Am : Almost bought this one. Then decided that it needed too much work.
1978 Camaro : Nice paint job. Restoration in progress
1979 Formula : All original, one owner, some surface rust.... tempting...
and the winner is .....

This is not even close to being a beater.
